Most fitted furniture companies claim to be offering a 'bespoke' or 'custom-made' product and many claim that it is on offer at a heavily discounted price. But hang on a minute, they cannot have it both ways; if its not been designed yet, then it hasn't been priced yet. So if it's half price, then half of what?

As Patrick Collinson said in a recent Guardian article "Shops tend to comply with the letter, rather than the spirit of the 1987 Consumer Protection Act". It's hard to see even the letter of the law in offering a discount before you have even designed the product, let alone having offered it for "28 consecutive days in the previous six months"
